Animal Library Signs

We were commissioned to create eight signs for WPL, as one of our many ongoing projects. While each sign is informative telling you what books are housed below it, each sign is represented with an animal that begins with the first letter of the word. N is for Newt; Pis for Pig; A is for Alligator, and so on.


This was no small task, but clearly a lot of fun. While some signs were made free standing, others hang from the ceiling. And each sign had to be made double-sided. Therefore the placement of the character was crucial both on front and the back. Identifying the animal must be made easy to a child while the sign remains clearly legible as working sign.
